The Sound Town SWM16-MAX is a compact wireless microphone and karaoke mixer system that offers a flexible and interference-free solution for a variety of audio applications. With its HDMI, HDMI ARC, Optical (Toslink), and 3.5mm AUX input/output connectors, as well as built-in Bluetooth, the SWM16-MAX can seamlessly integrate with a wide range of devices, including smart TVs, home theater systems, receivers, speakers, sound bars, amplifiers, notebooks, and tablets.

The versatile input and output options on the SWM16-MAX provide optimal compatibility, allowing users to connect the system to devices such as Bose Soundbar 300/500/700, Bose Solo series, Sonos Beam Soundbar series, Vizio, Samsung, and more. The HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) connector on the SWM16-MAX mixer enables easy audio input from smart TVs, while the optical and AUX inputs offer alternative connection options in case HDMI ARC is not available.

For audio output, the SWM16-MAX receiver/mixer simplifies the connection process by allowing users to connect to their sound bar, speakers, or home receiver using either an AUX (3.5mm) or optical connection. The built-in microphone receiver and sound mixer enable users to easily mix mic signal with music without the need for an additional mixer.

The SWM16-MAX comes with two wireless microphones and can also support two wired dynamic microphones (not included). The rotatory control knobs allow for quick and precise adjustments to the volume of music, microphone, echo, and tone, ensuring optimal sound quality. The built-in pop filter helps reduce potential popping sounds and delivers consistent, high-quality audio.

The wireless microphone system, however, requires a powered speaker or an amplifier with passive speakers (with 1/4", 1/8" or optical inputs) to function, and these devices are sold separately.

The SWM16-MAX features a versatile set of connection options, including HDMI ARC (input only), HDMI, Optical (Toslink), and 3.5mm AUX input and output ports, making it compatible with a variety of devices. The HDMI ARC and Optical inputs on the karaoke mixer allow users to extract audio from their smart TV and blend it with the microphone signal, which can then be sent to a soundbar or amplifier.

Interference-free performance is ensured by the wireless microphone system's use of Ultra-High Frequency (UHF, 550-590 MHz) technology, which is less likely to experience interference from other equipment compared to a VHF system. The SWM16-MAX features 16 selectable frequencies (8 frequencies per channel) and is compliant with the latest FCC regulations.

In addition to its flexibility and interference-free operation, the SWM16-MAX is a two-in-one device, serving as both a wireless microphone receiver and a sound mixer.
